an unfortunate translation

This is on the offical webpage of His Most Divine All-Holiness the Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome, and Ecumenical Patriarch, where there is a section about St. Andrew the Apostle, the founder of the Church at Constantinople:

"The Apostle Andrew was from Besthaisda, son of some Jew named Jonas, and brother of the apostle Peter, the peak of the Disciples of Christ."

(The problem is bad English.)
