another embarassing rant from our pb

How can you tell she's said something crazy and anti-Christian? Because she's opened her mouth in public again. Some highlights.

Commenting on our Lord's self-asssertion in John 14.6: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me," +++++KJ-S has this to say:

I think Jesus as way – that’s certainly what it means to be on a spiritual journey. It means to be in search of relationship with God. We understand Jesus as truth in the sense of being the wholeness of human expression. What does it mean to be wholly and fully and completely a human being? Jesus as life, again, an example of abundant life. We understand him as bringer of abundant life but also as exemplar.

...

[This verse...] in its narrow construction, it tends to eliminate other possibilities. In its broader construction, yes, human beings come to relationship with God largely through their experience of holiness in other human beings. Through seeing God at work in other people’s lives. In that sense, yes, I will affirm that statement. But not in the narrow sense, that people can only come to relationship with God through consciously believing in Jesus.

She then goes on to say men care more about sex than about helping the poor, that southerners are racists, and that the life of the world to come is less important than life in this world. I'm paraphrasing. Read it for yourself. Then take the antidote. Most of all pray for Katharine, that she would receive every blessing, that she would be delivered from darkness and death, and that she might come to faith in the only Son of God and be filled with His grace and truth.

Fr W,

Well said. There is much to be appalled by in that train wreck of an interview but one small part of it rang particularly false for me, one which I didn’t mention in my blog piece. It’s her reference to Ananias and Sapphira in Acts.

“There’s a rather surprising story in the book of Acts, in a Christian community that was clearly holding goods in common, and a couple in the congregation, in the gathering, said they were going to sell their property and give the money to their community, and it didn’t happen that way, and the way the story is told is actually quite humorous.”

Humorous? What an odd choice of words! I wonder what is so humorous about the telling of two people being struck dead for welching on a gift to the Lord? “Scary” might do, “ironic” even better. Do you think she’s actually read it?

I keep reading over and over how well-educated and articulate KJS is. After that woeful interview I have to wonder if that is truly the case.

BB,
The same people who consider KJS and "articulate" also consider Hillary Clinton "the smartest woman in the world."

And, WB, praying for KFS in the way you suggest could endanger her!

In warfare a wise leader, when forced to retreat, destroys his assets rather than having them fall into the hands of the opposition and be used against him. Satan's no dummy. Think about it........nahhhh, pray away!

If I didn't firmly believe this woman is the devil, I'd have great pity for her.

Bovina,
You are correct sir! Look at her chosen imagery in her public performances - there is a violence about them that is bone-chilling.
