i can't wait until aging hippies aren't in charge of anything anymore...
I don't just mean Schori. Or even mainly Schori. The sickness is deep.
In that day, they won't dress like this. And they won't have "Jubilation Streamers." And they won't have creepy forest nymphs frolicking in church.
The Episcopal News Service labelled the photograph above "baptismal journey," apparently because Schori was walking past the font.
Whereas, theologically speaking, the New Religion is hackneyed and incredibly dull, aesthetically speaking its really embarassing.

At least it is not boring.
Oh. Wait-
We're not ALL (aging hippies) bad.
Oh, and we (some/I) raised pretty good children!
Fr WB,
She looks like a prepubescent boy doing a bad rendition of a scene from the "Chronicles of Narnia."
As if I needed another reason not to take Kate seriously.
She also looks like a Chick Tract come to life. Which is saying a lot, since those things bear no resemblance to reality. Wait a minute ... Brain cannot compute ... such doubling and tripling over of irony ... help ... me ...

Forgive my continuing comments, but she doesn't look quite old enough to have been a REAL hippie. Maybe that's what's wrong. She didn't get it out of her system in her early life. Too bad. Besides, it's not primarily the colorful garb she is wearing, but what is inside of them. But the forest nymphs... Sigh.
I simply cannot make myself believe these people are serious about this tripe; that if you were to catch them off-guard they would chuckle and say: "Well yes, we know it's all twaddle but that's what these idiots want from us."
The one from Sunday was worse. And did you see the pictures of all the crazy dancing? Fr. WB, I may not agree with you on a whole lot of things, but I'm totally with you on these preposterous vestments.
The baby boomers can't live forever---
All I can say about that outfit and the dancing nymphs is... "wow." And I say that with a heavy sigh.
You rekon Barnham and Bailey designed that outfit for her?
That thing she is wearing looks like a big circus tent.
She is dressed as a clown.
She is a walking advert for converting to the Church of Rome.
